Montane Hot Spring and Spa

GOAL


For this assignment, we were given the task to create a brand and brochure for a fictitious spa using all of the knowledge we had learned in our Print Production course.


PLAN


The overall idea behind Montane was to provide an environmentally friendly hot spring and spa for guests to visit in order to escape civilization. This lead me to take a deep dive into what the brand would stand for, and the end goal they had when it came to guests. After much consideration, I decided that this goal was to have everyone feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and reposed at the end of every trip; as well as, embrace the natural beauty that is Jasper, AB.


Concept


Once I determined the general theme of the brand, I then went to work on researching Jasper and the surrounding area for ideas. Not only was I able to pull an earthy color palette from one of the many beautiful images that I found on unsplash.com, but I was also able to create a brand name inspired by one of the three vegetation zones found in Jasper National Park, and a symbol mark using the leaf of a trembling aspen.


All that was left to do was put together imagery I originally collected for the color palette, spa services and prices I collected by comparing nearby spas, some of the best environmentally friendly beauty and health products of 2020, nearby hikes I found on www.jasper.travel, and highly recommended local restaurants the guests could visit during their stay.
